In the animated series “Kito & Maja – the Dream Globe Tales” siblings Kito (4) and Maja (6) embark on a fantastic journey through the legends and fairy tales of Lusatia. During a visit to their grandmother's old, creaky house, they discover a mysterious wooden box in the attic. Inside, they find glowing dream balls, each of which opens up a new Sorbian legend. The siblings immerse themselves in the mystical tales of this region.

With each dream ball, Kito and Maja slip into the roles of key figures from the legends – such as the “money-bringing dragon,” the wizard “Pumphut,” or the “Mittagsfrau.” The two bring the legendary characters to life and give them personality, making these centuries-old stories accessible and vivid for young audiences.

This entertaining combination of tradition and fantasy in “Kito & Maja – the Dream Globe Tales” sheds new light on the legends and fairy tales of Lusatia.
